Supplement Cubes for Raw and Kibble Diets

Ingredients:

8 ounces of Spinach

1 Pomegranate

1 Red Bell Pepper

1 cup Raspberries

1 cup Apple Cider Vinegar from Braggs

1/2 cup MCT oil

1 tablespoon of Kelp Powder from Starwest Botanicals (omit if your dog has a source of iodine or spirulina in their diet)

Benefits:

This supplement can be added to any canine diet whether you’re feeding kibble or raw food. It’s a great way to add healthy, fresh food without overdoing it. The main health benefits that come from each of the supplements in this recipe are:

-Red bell pepper: Contains Vitamins C and E. Vitamin C “prevents accumulation of fat in liver cells” (Dr. Judy Morgan). Both of these vitamins improve cognitive function in senior dogs. Omit if dog has severe allergies.

-Kelp powder: helps thyroid function, digestion, reduces allergies and inflammation, improves skin and coat health. Contains Vitamins A, B, D, E, and K. *Do not over feed this supplement due to the iodine content.

-Spinach: Contains Vitamin K, which helps with blood flow. Spinach also contains Vitamin E.

-Raspberries: Reduces inflammation and improves digestion through the fiber content it contains. These also replenish red blood cells for anemic dogs. Raspberries should be fed in minimal amounts as shown here.

-Pomegranate: source of fiber and antioxidants, helping prevent serious disease such as cancer.

-MCT oil: is a source of healthy fat that improves brain function and increases energy. This also helps fight off viruses, harmful bacteria, and parasites.

-ACV (Apple Cider Vinegar): regulates Ph (which helps tear stains), reduces inflammation, improves digestive health, and helps dogs suffering from UTI’s.

-Vitamin E “helps skin function” (Dr. Barbara Royal). This vitamin also aids in prevention of inflammation, infection, free radicals, and cancer cell formation. A lot of dogs lack Vitamin E in their raw fed diets.

There are more benefits than the key points listed here, but to list them all would be an excessive list and redundant. Incorporating even a few of these ingredients can improve your pets diet, therefore improving their health.

Serving Amount:
