Healthier and Unhealthy Dry Pet Foods

The most frequently asked question I receive is what dry food I recommend and which foods I do not, so here is my list.

I use the term "Healthier" because raw food is the healthiest, most species appropriate diet for a dog and cat. I will always suggest home made raw over any type of pet food, but for those that cannot find the means to feed raw, I will suggest a healthier kibble. Top kibbles I do recommend: Orijen, Acana, Wild Calling, Zignature, Now, Horizon Pet Food, Stella and Chewys, Open Farm, Tuscan Naturals, Nature's Logic, and Fromm grain free.

Top kibbles I strongly suggest you do not feed your pets are: Purina, Hill's Science Diet, Royal Canin, Kibbles N Bits, Iams, Pedigree, Blue Buffalo, Wellness, Kirkland, Taste of the Wild, Rachel Ray Nutrish, and Ol' Roy.
